Lehman Art Exhibition Opening This Thursday

Daniel Galas, a young emerging artist that has been involved in the Bronx art scene since 2005, invites Bronxites to attend the opening of "We See Differently," an art exhibition he has curated over at Lehman College. The exhibit opens this Thursday, 5/13, at 5pm in Lehman's basement gallery.

Mr. Galas' exhibit is inspired by the idea that a group of artists looking at the same subject can create a surprisingly wide variety of artistic interpretations. Mr. Galas organized a free life drawing that took place over two days with the same model striking the same pose. He invited artists to submit their sketches, some of which were selected to appear as part of "We See Differently."

Please click here to read the blog of one of the artist's (Fred Hatt) whose works are on display in the exhibit for more info. To learn more about Mr. Galas, please click here to visit his website. He was recently profiled in The Riverdale Press, which you can access by clicking here.
